How does our crisis team perform? Are our procedures feasible? Are we acting strategically and responsively enough?
Our crisis simulations have been highly popular for years now because we are so effective in honing the skills of every crisis team. It is also a great method for testing the effectiveness of your crisis plan.
Who is it for?
Members of crisis teams who want to practise using a realistic scenario.
Based on realistic (customised to your specific needs) scenarios, we will train your team to manage a crisis situation. You’ll practise making choices based on the content of your message and how it is communicated. The customised simulation gives participants insight into the dynamics of a crisis situation, management and communication.
During the simulation the pressure increases continuously as developments and sources alternate. For example, there will be a telephone call followed by a tweet from an outside party. This is followed by a telephone call from an agency to ask for information about what’s going on. Bit by bit the information trickles in. Sometimes it’s contradictory and sometimes on the surface of it the information seems to be reliable. What do you do?
This simulation hones your crisis team’s skills. It is also a great method for testing the effectiveness of your crisis plan and whether it can be effectively put into action.
Once the simulation is completed you’ll receive a report with our findings and recommendations, practical advice and tips. This simulation is also available in combination with the Social Media Crisis Lab.
